NEW ULM - Rosalind "Roine" Thomas, 92, of New Ulm died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm with Pastor Brad Kuebler officiating. Burial will follow in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home SOUTH CHAPEL in New Ulm on Saturday.

Roine is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Mary Thomas of Edina, Allen and Charlene Thomas of Rockford; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John "Skinny" Thomas; daughter, Patricia Stevensen; grandson, Tom Stevensen; and her son-in-law, Russell Stevensen.

Rosalind Roine Ristine was born Dec. 11, 1921 in St. Francis, Kansas to Warren and Alma (Forslund) Ristine. She was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, Mo. Roine was united in marriage to John Thomas on July 26, 1941 in Marshfield , Mo. After marriage they lived in Marshfield, then moving to Fairmont in 1946 and then New Ulm in 1954 where she was employed at Rose's Caf and as a homemaker. Roine enjoyed music, reading and was an avid sports fan.

She was a member of the River Valley Church and active in the Amateur Radio Club.
