Elizabeth Bays, 86, of Crossett, formerly of El Dorado, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, in El Dorado after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 4, 1927, in Ashley County to William P. and Bessie T. Watson, she was an active member of North Crossett First Baptist Church and loved to cook, garden, and spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Becky Glasgow and husband Gary and Jaynie Swager and husband Tim; one son, Bobby Bays and wife Jo Lynn; grandchildren, Clay Glasgow, Dana Glasgow Morgan, Jennifer and Elizabeth Bays, Lauren, Rebecca, Erik, Emily, Amber, and Daniel Swager; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cynthia Ann Hollis and Alice Swilley; and one brother, Thomas Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, T. M. Bays, three brothers, James Watson, Cornelius Watson and David Watson; and a grandson, Jonathan Swager.

Funeral service was at 1 p.m. Friday, January 24, at Medders Funeral Home in Crossett with Revs. Robin Allen and Gary Glasgow officiating. Burial followed at the Crossroads Cemetery.
