Eula was born on July 14, 1925 in Cook County, IL, the daughter of John E. and Agnes S. (Winter) Davis. She graduated high school in Lansing, IL and on March 13, 1945, Eula married Gerald W. Payton. She owned her own ceramic business for over 20 years and in her later years was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Judy K. (Dwaine) Ogden of Crockett, CA, Jane E. (Gordon) Engel of Poy Sippi, WI, James L. (Barb) Payton of Weyauwega, WI, Jack R. (Donna) Payton of Cleveland, TN, Jeanne M. Payton of Ripon, WI, Julie A. (Mike) Payton of Ripon, WI and Jeffery W. (Laurie) Payton of Weyauwega, WI; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Eula is further survived by her sister, Susan Bartek of Indiana. Eula was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald and three brothers and one sister.
