Mrs. Maggie L. Deener was born February 1, 1922, to the late James and Rachel Thomas.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Beasley Deener. To this union eight children were born.

She confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was a member of Wrights Chapel MB Church; she later moved her membership to Golden Jerusalem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Arbrie L. Artison, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters; Shirley Williams, Eddie J. (Nkrumah) Naantaanbuu, Dianne (Goldie) Lacey and a stepdaughter Barbara Ewing; five sons; William (Elnora) Deener, Rozell Deener, Willie B. )Brenda) Deener, Marcelus (Joyce) Deener and Forrest Deener, all of Memphis, TN. One sister, Mary Frances Edenton, twenty-eight grandchildren, fifty-one great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. Special recognition to Mike Ames, Kimberly Ames and Christina Connable.

Pallbearers: Cadarias Echols, Tracy Paige, Marcus Jackson, David Deener, Charles Breakfield and Eric Shipp.

Honorary pallbearers: William Deener, Rozel Deener, Marcelus Deener, Nkrumah Naantaanbuu, Willie B. Deener, Forrest Deener and Goldie Lacey.

Alternate pallbearers: Donnell Vinson, Melvin Deener and Chauncey Lacey.

Interment was at Bell Grove Cemetery, Oakland, TN..
