Rev. Larry Delano Callahan, age 68 of Connersville, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday February 25, 2014 at 5:00 am at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Muncie where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.

Born in Lordstown, OH on July 2, 1945, he is the son of the late Harles Callahan and Enid Counts Henderson.

On May 26, 1963 he married Marie Neukam Callahan.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and a devoted husband to his wife Marie for over fifty years.

He had been the Service Manager for General Motors until the Lord called him out of his position in 1972. He then traveled the United States as an Evangelist for over ten years. Larry pastored in many area churches including Grandview Word of Life on Grand Avenue until his health no longer permitted.

Larry was known to be a Prayer Warrior to many people in Connersville where he was called out day or night, never failing to respond no matter the hour. His love for the Lord was known to all.

In addition to his wife, Marie, he is survived by five daughters, Rebecca Padilla and husband Edwin of Gallatin, TN, Elizabeth Mustin and husband Mark of Connersville, Melissa Kaye Callahan of Connersville, Melinda Lindsay and husband Jerry of Connersville and Amy Marie Marshall of Connersville; two sons, Larry D. Callahan, Jr. and wife Laura of Atlanta, GA and Mark A. Callahan and wife Debbie of Connersville; five brothers, Daniel Callahan of Warren, OH, Kirk D. Callahan and wife Vickie of Niles, OH, Dwight Callahan and wife Jeannette of Cortland, OH, Timothy Callahan and wife Charlotte of Warren, OH, and Steven Callahan and wife Bonnie of Champion, OH; five sisters, Joann Bateman and husband Joseph of Leavittsburg, OH, Sue Terry and husband Bill of Brownsville, IN, Anita Callahan-Leek of Warren, OH, Cherie Davison and husband Don of Garrettsville, OH and Vickie Jindra and husband Randy of Newton Falls, OH; nine grandchildren, Taylor Beck, Tyler Lone, Mark Callahan, Jr., Jonathan Maze, Christopher Lone, Joshua Lone-Mustin, Haley Padilla, Katelyn Callahan, and Abigayle Marshall; four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew.
