Beuford Joseph Pego, 83 of Sulphur passed away on February 24, 2014 in a local hospital. Beuford served his country in the U S Navy during the Korean War and worked as a letter carrier for 35 years. He coached and umpired a number of years for Sulphur Park and Recreation.

Beuford is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Pego; 1 daughter; 1 son and daughter-in-law; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leodie and Mae Pego.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Thomas Huhn, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home until time of the service.
