T. Wayne Wood, 74, of Dawson, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014, in a Waco hospital. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, in Olive Branch Cemetery with Rev. Rex Bland officiating.
Talmadge Wayne was born in Kountze, Texas, to the late Talmadge J. and Irene (Scroggins) Wood. He served in the U.S. Marines and then was a machinist at General Tire & Rubber Company. Later in life he was a self-employed air conditioner and small appliance repairman.
Survivors include his wife, Blenda Wood, of Dawson; daughters, Teresa Wood, of Waco and Debbie Wood, of Bellmead; grandson, Jason Landfried; granddaughter, Heather Landfried; sister, Wanda Norman, of Lacy Lakeview; step-sisters, Sandy Walters and Patricia Robinson, both of Odessa; step-brother, Roy Donald Sawyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
