MRS. WATKINS South Carolina native NICHOLSON - Mrs. Lilia Mae Watkins, 55, died Sunday, September 16, 2001, at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Watkins was born March 26, 1946, in Greenville, S.C., a daughter of the late Eugene Thomas and Annie Bell Ashmore Shipman. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Watkins was preceded in death by her husband, David Watkins. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church, Nicholson, with the Rev. Donnie Elliott officiating. Burial was in Howington Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Baughcum, Patricia McIntosh and Judy Watkins, all of Nicholson, and Donna Booth, Covington; two brothers, Kyia Shipman, Commerce, and Tommy Shipman, Hoschton; and seven grandchildren. Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
