Letha Lillian Sawvell, age 91, went home to be with Lord on February 19, 2014. She spent her last days surrounded by her family whom she loved.

She married Elmer Sawvell on October 9, 1940. Together they owned and operated an excavating company in Wisconsin. In the 1970s they became Florida resident.

In addition to her parents, Everett and Alta Posten Bedward she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Sawvell; 10 sisters, 2 brothers and one granddaughter.

She enjoyed her later years living at Hopewell Village in Murphy, N.C. especially when her Covenant Baptist Church family came to visit.

She was very proud of her one and only child, Loren Sawvell. Through him she lived to see five generations. She had seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and also survived by her two sisters and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Covenant Baptist Church in Murphy N.C. Rev. Calvin Murphy will officiate. In addition, a Celebration of her Life is being planned in Wisconsin on Saturday, May 17, 2014.
