Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m. for Lillian Stella Erickson, 67, at the First Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard L. Hanson officiating. Interment took place in the Kenyon Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Merle Aase, Rownell Schmidt, Hugh Swift, Vince Hunecke, Nile Foss and Ronald Aase. A vocal selection was rendered by Mrs. Evelyn Danielson accompanied by Mrs. Gertrude Dalbotten. She was born in Nerstrand, the daughter of John and Oline Sunde Foss. At the age of 12 she moved with her parents to a farm near Winger. On Feb. 9, 1921, she was united in marriage to Leonard Erickson at Fosston, Minn. They lived on a farm in Polk County until 1926 when they moved to Zumbrota. In 1936 they moved to Kenyon. She is survived by one daughter, Lavonne (Mrs. H. O. Rind) of Castroville, Calif.; three sons, Orvis of Austin, Leo of Eveleth and Roger of Rochester; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Ophelia of Red Wing, Bertina (Mrs. Harry Wickman) of Milwaukee, Wis., Minerva (Mrs. Albin Aase) of Kenyon and Beatrice (Mrs. Helmer Anderson) of Red Wing; five brothers: Arnold of Hayward, Calif.; Joseph of Eugene, Ore.; Lorenzo of Kenyon; Marvin of Hastings and Alvin of Farmington. Her husband, one daughter and her parents preceded her in death.
