He was born July 25, 1924, in Fairview, WV, a son of the late Okie G. Toothman and Mabel (Snyder) Toothman.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal (Kerns) Toothman, and his second wife EstaVirginia (Bunnell) Oliver Toothman.
Mr. Toothman was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended college.
He was a retired US Army and US Air Force Veteran, having served in WWII and the Korean War.
Surviving are: two daughters, Suzanne "Anita" Whitney and husband Gene of Saucier, MS, Sherry Kathleen Brady and husband Jacky, of Tennessee; two sons, John William Toothman and wife Wanda, and Michael Joseph Toothman and wife Cindy, all of D'lberville, MS; twelve grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren; three sisters, and one brother.
Friends may call at Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 10 AM until 12 noon. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 PM, at the WV National Cemetery with Chaplin Randy Jennings officiating. Interment will follow at the cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by the VFW Memorial City Post #3081, American Legion Taylor County Post#12, Central WV DAV Chapter 24 and their auxiliaries, and the WV Army National Guard of Camp Dawson.
