Willis Kooistra, 68, of Inwood died Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, in Yankton, S.D.

Services were Friday at Inwood Christian Reformed Church with interment in Richland Cemetery.

Mr. Kooistra was born Jan. 29, 1935, near Hudson, S.D., the son of Martin and Jennie (Kempema) Kooistra. He attended school in Hawarden and Inwood.

In 1955, he married Ella Mae Boersma. They lived in Inwood where he was employed at Inwood Hatchery & Feed Mill, later becoming a partner in the business. He retired in 1995.
At Inwood Christian Reformed Church, he taught catechism and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chuck of Tampa, Fla., and Marty of Americus, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Steve (Pam) Kramer of Stromsburg, Neb.; six grandchildren; four brothers, John of Beaver Creek, Minn., Richard of Inwood, Harvey of Grandville, Mich., and Lloyd of Kersey, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Marlene) Van't Land of Inwood.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
