She was a member of the St. Peter`s First United Church of Christ. She worked as a carver for Bircraft for many years and later worked at Wabash Magnetics for 12 years retiring in 1965. She was a past president of the Huntington County Home Extension Club. She was born in Markle, a daughter of Elzia and Minnie (Smith) Lantis. She was united in marriage to Floyd K. Baker on June 20, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1990. Survivors include a son: Jerry G. Baker of Huntington; two daughters: June Brineman of Marion; Betty Jane Grimes of Huntington; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. A sister: Mabel Hauenstein preceded her in death.
