Barbara Worth Ritchie, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Spring Creek Assisted Living Center in Boise, Idaho. The fifth of eight children, Bobbie was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 25, 1918 to Alphus Theron and Ruth Hughes Greene. She attended school in Hollister, Idaho.
She was married to Gerald Zeph Tompkins in 1939 and had two children. A son, Richard Allen Tompkins (wife Joyce), and a daughter, Myrna Joy Brubaker (husband Gary), both of Boise, Idaho. They were later divorced.
She was married to Lloyd G. Ritchie in May of 1963. They resided in Twin Falls, Idaho, Willets, California and settled in Boise, Idaho until his death in 1987 after 24 years of Marriage.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, her parents, 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
She is survived by her two children, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and five step-children.
Friends may call on the family at Bowman Funeral Parlor 5525 N. Glenwood St. Garden City, Idaho from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4921 N. Mitchell Boise, Idaho. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment with follow at Kuna Cemetery Kuna, Idaho.
