Ex-Serviceman Buried as Melrose Legion Has Military Rites. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Spring Hill for Joseph Aigner, with the Melrose Legion post in charge of the military rites. Rev. Joseph Buscher, pastor at Spring Hill conducted the requiem high mass in the St. Michael Catholic church. Mr. Aigner died at Minneapolis on Feb. 12, and the remains were brought to Spring Hill, his former home, for services and burial. His death was caused from pneumonia which developed after an operation. He was ill five weeks. Mr. Aigner was born In Spring Hill March 18, 1888 and was 43 years of age. he served in France during the World war and later in Germany with the army of occupation. He married Anna C. Kirchner at Spring Hill October 25, 1925, and since then lived in Minneapolis. With the widow and one son, Allen, aged two years. Mr. Aigner leaves the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Peter Santer, Minneapolis; Mrs. Frank Schafer, Kansas City MO; Mrs. Math Och; St. Cloud; Mrs. Math Rassier, Grenora ND; Robert Aigner, St. Cloud; Sylvester J. Aigner, Fond du Lac WI; Frank Aigner, Spring Hill; and Benedict Aigner, Milden, Sask., Canada.
