Harry Carlson
Harry William Carlson of Eugene died Sept. 24 from age-related causes. He was 103.
He was born June 10, 1907, in Bristol, S.D., to Carl and Selma Nelson Carlson. He was married to Irene Hutchinson for 74 years.
He earned a bachelor's degree from Huron College, served in the National Guard and worked as a revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He had lived in Lane County since 1944.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Survivors include a son, Alan Carlson of Anchorage, Alaska; a sister, Florence Reinertson of Eugene; a brother, LeRoy Carlson of Junction City; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His wife died previously.
Remembrances to the charity of one's choice.
