Mrs. Allgood, whose residence was 1215 Troupe St., died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday in a local infirmary, after an illness of 15 days.
She was a native of Jefferson County and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Denton Young, members of well known Georgia families.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Allgood is survived by two sons, Robert E. Allgood of Chicago and Thomas F. Allgood of Augusta; a daughter, Mrs. G.B. Snelling of Huntsville, Ala., her stepmother, Mrs. Thomas Young of Grovetown; five sisters, Mrs. B.F. Wren of Wrens, Ga., and Mrs. G.F. Reese of Grovetown, Mrs. Beula Livingston, Mrs. A.M. Whitaker, and Mrs. Lola Gooler, all of Augusta; and half-brother, Harry Young of Thomson, Ga.
The body will be at Elliott Sons Funeral Home until the funeral. Pallbearers will be A.?. Jennings, R.B. Hand, Fred L. Powell, Philip McKagan, Stewart G. Capers, and E.J. Beasley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sheriff James T. Plunkett and the other members of the Richmond County Sheriff's Department, City Police Chief William Terry, Police Lt. L.G. Tyson, and Chief Deputy George Mutimer."
