Jonas Konkey, grandfather of Mrs. Hugh Grafton, died at her home last Thursday, July 26. He was nearly 86 years old, and died of weakness due to old age. In her girlhood Mrs. Grafton kept house for her grandfather, and in his old age he desired to make his home with her, although he has five daughters living. He was a quiet, unobtrusive person and greatly attached to those who so tenderly cared for him. The funeral services were held at the Grafton home on Friday. Burial in the Chatham cemetery.
