Jacqueline J. Worthington, 55, of Avella, died February 20, 2014, in the Washington Hospital. She had fought breast cancer since 2010.

She was born May 28, 1958, a daughter of Robert Worthington of Avella and the late Lyndall Hertig Worthington.

Ms. Worthington was a 1976 graduate of McGuffey High School. For 26 years, she worked at Washington Steel/Allegheny Ludlum as a rolling operator and steckel mill operator. Prior to that, she had worked at GG&C as a bus driver and at Brockway.

Ms. Worthington was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Claysville, Western Pennsylvania Girls Barrel Racers Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.

Surviving are her life partner of 30 years, Pam Miller, of Avella; three sisters, Barb Conkle (Robert) of Scenery Hill, Debbie Bowersock (Bill) of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Pam Buchleitner (Dan) of Avella; special friends, Dirk and Lisa DePaoli, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating.

Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
