Mary Catherine Foreman born in Snow Hill, Quincy township, Franklin County, PA. the daughter of Jacob and Hannah (Fahnestock) Foreman married 23 December 1880 to Reverand John Brotherton Ruthrauff, the son of Joseph L. and Nancy Ann (Welty) Ruthrauff.

They had one son and three daughters:

(1.) Margaret Nellie Fahnestock Ruthrauff married Laban R. Wingert.
(2.) John Seymour Fahnestock Ruthrauff remained unmarried.
(3.) Gertrude Katherine Foreman Ruthrauff remained unmarried.
(4.) Ida Blanche Foreman David George Oller.
