Paul Ridinger, 57, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the chapel of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Tiaden officiating. Interment will follow at Bowman Cemetery in Lakeside City under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

The family will receive visitors from 4:00-5:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the funeral home.

Paul was born on May 11, 1956 to Herbert and Elsie (Jentsch) Ridinger in Wichita Falls. He was a graduate of Petrolia High School. Paul had spent most of his life in the auto business, working for Patterson's until his retirement. After retiring, he spent over a year traveling to all 50 states. While on those trips, he enjoyed going to wineries. He was an avid gun collector. Paul was the mayor of Petrolia for over a decade and was a member of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents and was survived by daughters, Leah Horton and husband Kirk of Petrolia and grandchildren Holland and Britton, also daughter Dr. Katherine Dozier and husband Matthew of Annapolis, Maryland and grandson Tyler and a soon to be born grandbaby. Paul is also survived by his former wife Dr. Vicki Holland of Petrolia, brothers Lindy and wife Karen Ridinger of Olney, Maryland and nieces Lauren and husband Paul Kuhn of Baltimore, Maryland and Emma, Brennan, Preston and Elizabeth, Arthur Ridinger and wife Christy of Dean, nephew Arthur Ridinger Jr., and wife Sydnie, and soon to be grandbaby, niece Paige Moore and husband Brady and their son Alex and daughter Madelyn and Jonathan Ridinger, Mallory and Macy Ridinger. Paul also leaves behind his sister Dara Smith and husband Randy of Cedar Park, Texas and their children Matthew, Adrienne and Garret.
