William Stutzman Heddings, 90, of Catlett died Nov. 24, 2005, at the Fauquier Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1915, in Catlett, a son of the late Roy Auten Heddings and Edna Pearl Andes Heddings. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rebecca Wampler Heddings; and two brothers, Frederick David and Jesse Auten Heddings. Billy was a farmer all of his life as well as a rural mail carrier for nearly forty years. For the last 20 years, he was a member of the Zoar Baptist Church, Bristersburg, where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Jerry and Mary Sue Heddings of Fredericksburg, WinnaJean and Joseph Miller of Haymarket, Royce and Janet Heddings, Garland and Elaine Heddings, Berle Heddings, Charles and Barbara Heddings and Steve and Yvonne McFarlane, all of Catlett; three sisters, Margaret Chappell of Dade City, Fla., Jeanne Wampler of Grottoes, and Mary Catherine Samuel of Catlett; nineteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 2 p.m. at Zoar Baptist Church, Bristersburg, by the Rev. Arthur DeCourcey and the Rev. Delbert Roberts. Interment at Catlett Cemetery. The deacons of the church and grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to Zoar Baptist Church, 11036 Elk Run Road, Catlett, VA 20119.
