Leona May Whitaker, age 89, of Cambridge City passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on June 17, 1921 in Fleming, KY to Gilbert and Mammie Hurst Caudill.

Leona was a care giver in home health care for over twenty years. She was a Christian and loved her cats.

Survivors include two sons Ron (Karen) Williams of Knoxville, TN and Bill (Sherry) Williams of Cambridge City, IN; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; three brothers Charles, Lovell and Gilbert; and three sisters Zenith, Nancy and Beverly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Dickie; two brothers Edward & Clifford; and a sister Carolyn.

Friends may call at the Waskom Capitol Hill Chapel in Cambridge City on Thursday, December 16, 2010 from 12 noon until start of service at 1:00 PM. Rev. Steve Abernathy will be officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Cambridge City.
