Gerald Thomas "Jerry" Bryant, 56, passed away at his home in Olympia and went home to Christ, on January 15, 2014, after a lengthy battle with health issues.
He was born to Tom and Linda Bryant in Long Beach, Calif., on November 7, 1957.
Jerry graduated from Lafayette High School in 1976. He worked for the City of St. Joseph as a traffic light technician before moving to Olympia in 1985, where he worked as a traffic and street light technician.
Jerry loved motorcycles, racecars and trucks. He had a Camero on the cover of Hot Rod magazine in 1978. He built many of his own vehicles. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He took great pride in all he did, and loved to live life. Jerry loved his family and friends and was always thinking about them.
Jerry was a Christian.
Jerry was preceded in death by his grandparents and cousins.
Survivors include his father and mother, George and Linda Bryant; sister, Janine (John) Macintosh; and two brothers, Rob and Dan (Marisol) Bryant; three nieces and four nephews; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, Brookdale Presbyterian Church, 203 S. 31st Street, St. Joseph, MO, with Rev. Mike Goolsby officiating. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Inurnment: Savannah Cemetery, Savannah, Mo.
