Luther Abrams, 84, Springmont Drive, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Golden Living Centers, Gallatin, Tenn., of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Gamble Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Kendrick officiating.
Burial will be at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time for the service Thursday at the funeral home.
A native of North Carolina, he was born Aug. 4, 1929, the son of the late Walter and Lizzie Saunders Abrams.
He was retired as a sergeant major following 30-plus years of service in the Army.
A sister, Mattie Abrams Simon, Brooklyn, N.Y., survives.
