He was born March 30, 1913, in Marquette County, to Theodore and Frances (Marshall) Washkovick. He married Josephine Laura Kalupa in Berlin on September 5, 1942. Raymond worked 46 years as a caterpillar operator throughout the state. For many years he worked for the Hoffman Construction Company, Mashuda Company and most recently for the Washkovick Grading Company. In 1975, he retired from the Washkovick Grading Company. He was a member of the Union Local #139. He was a very devoted father and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine; two sons, Roger (Shirley) of Green Lake and Raymond Jr. of Montello; one daughter, Peggy of Ripon; five grandchildren, Kimber (Mark) Gibson of Black River Falls, Kathy (William) Curtis of Glendale Heights, IL, Brenda (Douglas) Curtis of Green Lake, Amy (Kevin) Kasten of Brandon and Jeff Washkovick of Green Lake; one great-grandson, Taylor Curtis of Glendale Heights, IL; two great-granddaughters, Ashley Gibson of Black River Falls and Kelsey Kasten of Brandon; two brothers, Sylvester (Minnie) of Wisconsin Rapids and Walter of Ripon; one sister, Marcella (Erwin) Muehrer of Neshkoro; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.
