MURFREESBORO - Mrs. Mildred M. Martin, 84, of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Martin was born Feb. 4, 1924, in Northampton County, the daughter of the late Grover Martin and Essie Britt Martin. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Martin, Sidney Martin and Clarence Martin. She was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ezra Samuel Martin; her daughter, Diane Seidemann and her husband, Michael, of Kenner, La.; her sisters, Ella Mae Watson and Janie Martin Outland, both of Conway, Mary M. Cahoon and Myrtle M. Revelle, both of Portsmouth, Va., Doris M. Vincent of Murfreesboro, Lillian M. Howerton of Rich Square and Gladys M. Wheeler of Goldsboro; two brothers, Kelly C. Martin and Dennis Martin, both of Conway; two grandchildren, Ryan and Erin Seidemann and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Seidemann.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., today, July 28, at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, which is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 29, at Murfreesboro Baptist Church, with Dr. Lee Canipe officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
Flowers are welcomed, however, memorial contributions may be made to Murfreesboro Baptist Church, P.O. Box 124, Murfreesboro NC 27855.
