Ludwig Buck, 85, a retired farmer dies at 4:45 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Old People's Home, 223 First St. His death was said to have been caused by a stroke following a three-day illness. His wife preceded him in death last April.

Born Sept 10, 1858 in South Russia, he married Christina Newman there.

He leaves five daughters and two sons. Daughters are Mrs. John Hunkler Napoleon, Mrs. Alex Schmidt, Mrs. Albert Ketterling and Mrs. F. C. Ketterling of Streeter and Mrs. Dan Suckut of Britton, S.D. His sons are Jacob and John Buck of Streeter.

Mr. Buck was a member of the Evangelical Church and had been a resident of the state for 49 years. He has made him home in Burleigh county the last two years.

The body will be taken from the Calhan funeral home to Streeter where funeral services will be held and burial will be made.
