Hans Jorgensen Olsen (1854-1931), born in Andebolle, Vissenbjerg, Odense, Denmark on June 9, 1854, is the 4th child of Jorgen Olsen (1822-1870) and Kirsten Kjersten Hansen (1820-1902). He immigrated to American in 1868 and became a farmer in Spanish Fork, Utah.

In 1879 he married Sena Katrina Christensen (1861-1952). They became the parents of eleven children. They are [01] Hans George Olsen (1880-1972); [02] Joseph Michael Olsen (1882-1951); [03] Albert Olsen (1883-1884); [04] Hannah Christina Olsen (1885-1970); [05] Christiana Olsen (1887-1979); [06] Wilbert Hyrum Olsen (1889-1964); [07] Leo Olsen (1891-1973); [08] Lorin Olsen (1893-1984); [09] Etta Sena Olsen (1895-1950); [10] Hazel LaVerne Olsen (1898-1988), and [11] Selma Mary Ann Olsen (1900-1997).

After seventy-seven years, 5 months, and 2 days Hans completed his earthly journey in Spanish Fork on November 11, 1931. He was laid to rest in the city cemetery on Nov. 15, 1931, after having lived in the community for 63 years.
