Mrs. Lamson Died Monday At Sonyea
The death of Mrs. T. A. Lamson occurred at Sonvea last Monday morning after an illness of several weeks and while her death was not entirely unepxected, the loss is so great that the stricken family have the sympathy of a large circle of sincere friends, many of whom know Mrs. Lamson through her entire life of 60 years and were the friends of her girlhood, who have known her as a christian woman, a loving mother and wife, and now join with the family in an expression of personal loss.
Alice M. Barney was the daughter of the late George W, Barney, who for several years was superintendent of the poor of Livingston county, during which years the family lived in Geneseo, but except for these few years the family have always been identified with Mount Morris as one of her representative families.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Harry B. Lamson, a practicing attorney in Buffalo, Lewis W. also of Buffalo, Thomas and Robert of Sonyea, two daughters, Sarah A. and Mary T. Lamson, both teachers, and three brothers, George W. Barney of Lexington, Ky., Charles W. Barney of New York and Dr. R. W. Barney of Hornell.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Presbyterian chapel, Rev. Dr. J. E. Kittredge officiating. Interment was made in the Mount Morris cemetery.
[Notation: Place of burial listed in Alice's obituary is incorrect, she and her husband are buried in Temple Hill cemetery, where both of their memorials are correctly listed. Temple Hill cemetery records confirm both of their burials here.]
