Joseph Brown died in 1903 and Sarah two years later. At that time they were probably living with their son Abraham, who remained on his land until at least 1910. Sarah died two years after her husband and was living near to this cemetery, so she is buried beside him. The remnants of his marker show that it was a very fine one, made of granite. Her name must have been on it too.
The known children of Sarah and Joseph Brown are: John H. Brown, 1852- ; Elizabeth J. Brown, 1853-1901, who married John Small; Abraham "Abe" Brown, 1854-1945; Jacob "Jake" Brown, 1857-1909; and Fred Brown, 1858- .
Notice: Due to lack of cooperation from the person who manages most of the burials in this cemetery, I have created an alternative McCorkle site where I can post better data:http://mccorklecem.blogspot.com/

Sarah has no stone of her own, or at least none has been discovered.
