LeRoy A. Roundy passed away May 11, 2000, in the Dixie Regional Hospital, St. George, Utah.

He was born August 5, 1926 to Almon and Hazel Sanderson Roundy in Payson, UT. Married Maurine Peery, May 6, 1946. She passed away on their 52nd wedding anniversary, 1998.

Roy worked hard all of his life. He was a diesel mechanic for Cummins Inter-mountain Diesel and later was the owner and operator of R & R Diesel Repair. He is remembered as a "one of a kind guy"; always a tease; sometimes misunderstood, but everyone loved and respected him for his absolute honesty and integrity. Quiet and charming at the same time. His family and many friends will miss him. He was a member of the LDS Church and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survived by daughters, Linda (John) Rowley and Barbara (Dave) Hanson, SLC; brother, Earl Roundy, St. George; grandchildren, Todd, Michelle, Heather, Brandon, and Holly; and great-grandchildren, Michael, Holt, Sydney and Tyler. Preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, and two sisters, and a great-granddaughter.

Thanks again to the wonderful doctors and staff in the ICU at Dixie Regional Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2000, 11 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 So. 1700 E. Family and friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Murray.
