Frank P. Barker Succumbs at 80
Verona – Frank P. Barker, 80, formerly of this place, brother-in-law of James E. Tufts of 560 Main St., Oneida, died Friday at his home in Maywood, Ill.
Born in Trenton, he was employed for many years as advertising manager of the Ederheimer-Stein & Co., of Chicago. Later he operated a retail store in Fort Wayne Ind. After retiring in 1947, he went to resided at the Baptist Home in Maywood.
Surviving are a son, F. Halstead Barker, and a daughter, Mrs. Belle Marcus, both of New York City, two grandchildren and several cousins.
Barker Funeral Rites Conducted
Oneida – Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Munroe Funeral Home for Frank P. Barker, 80, of 315 Pine St., Maywood, Ill., former Verona resident, who died at his home Friday.
The Rev. E. Roberts Hughes, pastor of the Oneida Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Verona
Cemetery.
Mr. Barker was born in Trenton, N.Y., May 23, 1874, a son of Byron and Ann Perkins Barker. He was associated in the advertising manager for Ederheimer-Stein & Co, of Chicago. Later he operated a retail clothing store in Fort Wayne, Ind., retiring in 1947. He had since resided at the Baptist Home in Maywood.
Surviving are a son, F. Halstead Barker, and one daughter, Mrs. Belle Marcus, both of New York City; a brother-in-law, James E. Tufts of this city, two grandchildren and several cousins.
