William Oatman, for many years a resident of this village, died of typhoid
pneumonia Wednesday morning [March 4, 1896] at his home on Park street. Funeral was held Saturday afternoon, interment at Adams Centre. He leaves a wife, a daughter, Miss Etta, for many years teacher in our public school and one son, Elmer, of Watertown.

Mrs. Etta Oatman Russell. wife of George Russell, died today at the family home, 123 William street, aged 50 years. Mrs. Russell was a native of Canada. She taught school for 16 years...years ago took up her residence in this city. She is survived by her husband, one brother. Elmer Oatman of Syracuse, and one nephew, Tyler Oatman of Syracuse. The funeral will be held from her late home, 123 William street, Wednesday at 11 a,m. The body will be taken on the 1:45 p, m. train Wednesday to Adams Center for interment.
