Mike Hannah officiating. Burial will follow at Oliver Springs Cemetery in Comanche County, Texas. Visitation will be held from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2014, at Lacy Funeral Home.
Gary was born in Gorman, TX, on April 28, 1946, to Otho and Maurice (Echols) Cogburn. He married Elisa (Alice) Sanchez on April 25, 1970, in Dublin, TX.
Survivors include his wife, Elisa Alice (Sanchez) Cogburn of Stephenville, TX; three children, Mark Cogburn and wife, Maria, of Granbury, TX, Carla Resendiz of Brownsville TX, and Rachel Cogburn of Stephenville, TX; four sisters, Kathleen Clark of Dublin, TX, Shirley Davis of Brownwood, TX, Debra Cogburn of Cresson, TX, and Sue Sims of Tolar TX; two brothers, Kenneth Cogburn of Comanche, TX and Terry Cogburn of Proctor, TX; five grandchildren, Amber Garay, Heather Cogburn, Monica Resendiz, Ashley Resendiz, and Mark Wayne Cogburn; and two great-grandchildren, Allizon Garay and Homero Garay, Jr. He was preceded in death by six brothers.
