Adelle Wilhelmine Pfarr was born January 17, 1922 in Germantown Township, Cottonwood County to Henry A. and Rosaline (Henricks) Meier. During World War II, Adelle did housekeeping for people then worked at a restaurant in St. Paul in 1944. She then went to work for Swift Meat Packing until 1946 when she moved back to Jeffers. She was united in marriage to Martin G. Pfarr on February 5, 1947 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown Township. Adelle helped Martin on the farm and enjoyed baking, canning, and gardening. She especially enjoyed babysitting for the grandchildren. Adelle was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton and the women's bible study group.

Adelle Pfarr died Friday, February 14, 2014 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton at the age of 92 years.

She is survived by sons- Vernon Pfarr, Marlyn Pfarr, Roger (Roxie) Pfarr, and Glen (Chris) Pfarr, all of Lamberton; daughters- Janice (Jerry) Schwamberg of New Brighton, JoAnn Pfarr of Redwood Falls, Beverly Pfarr of Lamberton, and Bonnie (Dean) Koerner of Paynesville; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Martin in 1963; brothers- John, Herman, and Albert; and sisters- Elsie Zoeller, Martha Uhlenhopp, and Emma Hageman.
