Birth information of 1614 for John comes from US & International Marriage records 1560 - 1900
Birth and death information are from "Paulk Progeny" by Denzel Dee Mathews. John Brabrook is considered to be the Brabrook immigrant.
"John Brabrook and Elizabeth had a home near the present centre of Belmont as early as 1640. He is frequently mentioned in the early records."

Watertown Massachusetts Genealogies and History Page 92/(83 electronically) (Paraphrasing on my part) states: he died in 1654, his wife was Elizabeth and these children's births were listed; Elizabeth 4 Nov 1640, John 12 Apr 1642, Thomas 4 May 1643, and mentions a possible son, Joseph.

"In Watertown records published by the Historical Society of that town in 1894, a description of Johon Brabrook's "homestall" is given along owtih other early residents. John Brabrook. A homestall of 6 arcres bounded on the east with Stone Street, the west with William Hammond, the north with John Bisco and the south, Timothy Hawkins. (and another 35 acres is talked about... a total of ninety acres were issued to John Brabrook in Watertown."

His wife's maiden name might have been "Short" since after their father death, it is suspected several of their children might have gone to live with their uncle Henry Short (36868436) of Newbury.

There seems to be confusion about the death date of John who died in 1654 and his son, John, who died 28 Jun 1662. There was a renuncupative will written 27 Jun 1662 a day before his death. It is witnessed by his uncle Henry Short. He lists several siblings, Elizabeth, John, Thomas, Samuel, Joseph, Sarah, Rebecca and Rachel.
