They had two children during their marriage. In 1930, at the age of 45 Roy lived in Beggs, Oklahoma with his wife, Mattie, son, and daughter but had moved back to Carterville before his death on January 28, 1933, in Jasper County, Missouri, at the age of 48 due to rock dust build up in his lungs from working in the mines. I have not found evidence that his widowed wife remarried or had anymore children.
