Gilbert Scott Aderton, 86 of Bucklin, died Monday, April 4, 2005 at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at United Methodist Church in Bucklin. The Rev Robert Frey will officiate. Graveside services and burial with military services will be a 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Vandalia Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Louis V. Scudiero & Sons Funeral Home in Bucklin.
Mr. Aderton was born March 24, 1919, in Vandalia to Joseph Lionel and Willie Zetha Bull Aderton.
He was married to Marguerite Ethel Yohn in October 1952, in Hannibal. She preceded him in death Oct. 14, 2001.
Survivors include one son, Dennis Scott Aderton, five daughters, Myrna Y. Janes of Hannibal, Peggy L. Finley, Lana J Stanfield, Heidi Martin and Jacqueline Christoff; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters, including Nell Fern Dueser and Norma Jean Shaw, both of Vandalia.
