Abner A. Wentzel, 82, of 135 W. Green St., died this morning in the Hassler Home, Cumru Township, where he was a patient two days.
Born in Mount Penn, a son of the late Augustus and Amanda (Nein) Wentzel, he was preceeded in death by his wife, Laura R. (Krick) Wentzel in 1966.
A tire salesman for over 40 years with Lee Tire Co., Mr. Wentzel last worked in 1954.
A member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, he was also a member of the Ringgold Band.
Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia, wife of Russell Ruth, Willow Grove; a son, Quentin, Reading; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two brothers, Chester, West lawn and Robert, Palmyra.
