She was born April 14, 1924, in Sutter, IL, the daughter of Floyd and Mata C. Wemhoner Wood. She married Burl William Leffler on December 24, 1942 in Palmyra, MO and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1973.
She is survived by two sons, Stacy B. Leffler (wife, Ronnie) and Gregory B. Leffler (wife, Donna); eight grandchildren, Sean Leffler, Bar-El Leffler, Sunny Villanueva, Brett Leffler, Nicholas Leffler, Joshua Leffler, Jacqui Janas, and Matthew Leffler and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Troy R. Leffler and Kevin E. Leffler and a brother, Dale Henry Wood
Mrs. Leffler was a graduate of Warsaw High School and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She served as a district manager of training and seminars for Avon Products Inc. for several years and was employed at the Jacksonville Journal-Courier for 46 years.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family graveside services will be held at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorial Gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the Women’s Crisis Center.
