Mrs. Italy Carter Ernst, 78, widow of Frank A. Ernst, a former Petersburg resident, died Wednesday in Waco, Texas. She had been a resident of that city for about 5 years.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. (Pakali) Jack Q. Sloan, Waco; a son Frank A. Ernst Jr., of Corpus Christi, Tex.; two sisters, Miss Stelle Carter. Charlottesville, and Mrs. Gus Welch, Bedford; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the grave in Blandford Cemetery with the Rev. Boston M. Lackey Jr., pastor of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church, officiating.
