Ruby Ellen Sloss, 93, died February 10, 2014 in Pampa.

Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Sloss was born May 4, 1920 in Texola, Oklahoma. She married G. B. Sloss on August 30, 1941 in Texola. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1981. She farmed and ranched alongside her husband, and loved it. She had been a resident of Pampa since July of 1984. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church where she was involved with the Sonshiners. She was a member of the Knife & Fork Club.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Meredith House and Interim Hospice, especially Deborah Ferrell, Carmen and Carla for their love and care of their mother.

Survivors include a daughter, Marti Houseman and husband Chuck of Pampa; a son, David Sloss and wife Yoshiko of Okinawa, Japan; four grandchildren, Amy Houseman-Wills, Patricia Miyagi, Rika Cendejas, and Yuka Palasak; and six great-grandchildren.
