Frank B. "Brindy" Marshall, 67, of Polk, died at home at 1:40 am Jan. 1 after 14 months of failing health. He was born April 6, 1897 in Polk, son of John and Maud Stone Marshall.

He spent all his life in this area, and for a number of years was an attendant at Polk State School and Hospital, retiring three years ago. He was a member of the Polk Methodist Church.

He was twice married, first to Hannah Whitlatch, who died in 1926. On July 9, 1927, he married Sara Carter, who survives, with children Gloria Jane (Howard) Miller of Utica RD 1, Richard Dennis, Deborah, and Gladys Marshall at home; two grandchildren; four sisters Mary (George) Biskart of Mayville, NY, Louise (John) Murrin of Swissvale, Evelyn Marshall and Olive (Lonnie) Toliver of Polk; brother, John Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are brothers Harry and Ancil.

Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Edward McCollough, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cemetery.
