Jim was born to Hugh and Regina Willis at home in Mt. Tabor, VT. His family moved to Illinois in 1930 then to Davenport, Iowa in 1934. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Etha and had two sons, James Jr. and Thomas. She left him in 1948. Jim met his Eternal Sweetheart, Jacqueline in 1951 and they were married in April 1952. They had three children, Denise, Jack (died at birth), and Sandi. Jim died of a massive heart attack after pushing a neighbors jeep out of the intersection near his home. He really died in Ontario, California but paramedics took him to the hospital and they declared him dead so his place of death is listed as Upland, CA. He left behind his wife Jacque, daughters, Denise (Tim ) and Sandi, sons, Jim and Tom (Trudi), and 5 granddaughters.
