Christina Abbott was born December 24, 1929 and departed this life Sunday, February 9, 2014 reaching the age of 84. She was the daughter of the late Robert Ezra and Lue (Hicks) Kennedy.
She is survived by: her husband, Roy Abbott; her brother, Huel Kennedy; and her sister, Flonnie Campbell. She is also survived by a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Lue Kennedy, she was preceded in death by: six brothers, Lloyd James, Frank, Robert Jr., Cecil and Arvil Kennedy; and two sisters, Lucy Barrier and Bonnie Rector.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 5 – 9 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 10 am Monticello United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Monticello Methodist Church Building Fund or Gideon's Living Memorial Bible Plan
