Obituary: Services for Willard Wells will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hannah Funeral Home, Rev. Russell Reynolds officiating. Willard Lee Wells, 67, of 13733 US 68 S. Midland died Monday at the residence. His wife, Mary Opal Wells, survives. Mr. Wells was born in Menifee County, Kentucky, May 31, 1911, a son of Bruce and Meriba Denniston Wells. He was a member of the Baptist church, a retired custodian of Wilmington College, and a basket maker. Also surviving are two sons, Wyanold Lee and Billy Ray of Virginia, Illinois; two daughters, Wanda Bills of Fountain, Colorado and Deanna Wells, at home; five grandchildren; four brothers: Clarence of Middletown, Cordell of Denniston, Kentucky, Orville of Frenchburg, Kentucky, and Bethard of Vandalia; six sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Hollon of Troy, Mrs. Beatrice Fergeson of Kentucky, Mrs. Ines Back and Mrs. Dora Hasty of Middletown, Mrs. Enis Brewer of Farmersville, and Mrs. Hazel Lawson of Denniston, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Westboro IOOF Cemetery.
