HUGO, Okla. — John “Fuzzy” Fissel, 70, of Frogville, died Friday, May 22, 1998, in Pushmataha Hospital in Antlers.
He was a member of the Assembly of God. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. He had lived in Choctaw County most of his life and had served in the Air Force seven years.
Mr. Fissel was born April 22, 1928 in Fort Towson to Ira James and Susie Ellen (Neece) Fissel. He married Charlene Webber Oct. 5, 1953 in Paris, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene, in 1993, his sister, Dorothy Allen, two brothers, James and W. S. Fissel, and his parents.
Survivors include five daughters. Cindy Morris, Sandra Osborne, and Debbie Morris, all of Fort Towson; Charlotte Wisener of Grant; and Wendy Pressley of Hugo; a sister, Louise Caldwell of Redwater, Texas; a sister-in-law, Ruby Webber of Fort Towson; 12 grandchildren, Mike, Pat, Chris, Bryan, Jonathan, Lisa, Candi, Liz, Jennifer, Amanda, Cassie and Jessica, and nine great¬-grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Daniel, Aaron, Will, Ariel, Ashley, Josh, and Joshua.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Wednesday, May 27 in Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Fort Towson Cemetery.
