William F. Workman, 96, of Springville, passed away at 2:50 a.m., today, May 4, 2001 at Lyons Health & Living Center. Born March 29, 1905 in Clay County, he was the son of Calvin and Minty (Hudson) Workman. He worked for the Greene County Highway Department, and was a member of the Hobbieville Community Church. Survivors include, three sons, Dean Workman of Switz City, and Gary Lane Workman and William Keith Workman of Springville; two daughters, Joy Etta Haywood of Terre Haute and Marilyn Kay Neely of Mitchell; 17 grandchildren; and 36 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elloyd (Hall) Workman on Dec. 1, 1996; one son, Michael Leon Workman; one grandson; one great grandson; one sister; and six brothers. Funeral services will be at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield at 3 p.m. on Monday with the Rev. Forrest Collings officiating. Burial will follow at Springville Methodist Cemetery.
