Nellie Louise (Beeman) Thomas, 80, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Lonaconing, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing.
Born Aug 27, 1921, in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late James Beeman and Irene (Ryan) Beeman Preston. Sjhe was also preceded in death by one son, Timothy Leroy Thomas.
Mrs. Thomas was former Bar Owner of Nellie's Travern, Lonaconing; she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.G.W. 3318, Keyser, W.Va., American Legion Auxiliary 189 Barton, and the Adult Day Care Center, Lonaconing.
Surviving are her husband Carl Gibson Thomas, whom she married Jan 31, 1947; one daughter Barbara C. Fickes, Lonaconing; one granddaughter Cherryl May Matthews, Lonaconing two great grandchildren, Takeya May Troutman, and Tiffany LaDawn Nicol
At Mrs. Thomas; request her body was cremated.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, with the Rev. Mark Hardman officiating.
Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, is in charge of the arrangements.
Family requests donation be made to the American Cancer Society.
